«This report shares the broad range of
opinions we heard when we consulted museums, libraries, arts organisations,
funders, policy makers, local authorities, education and beyond on our
draft strategic framework, Shaping the next
ten years, including our case for change
and seven proposed outcomes. We also explored ideas about how we
might work together to achieve those outcomes.
From 1 October 2018 to 2 January 2019,
we listened to voices from across the cultural and creative sectors at
workshops we held around the country, captured views through an online
consultation and held an additional six sessions specifically with
children and young people.
After giving people the opportunity to
tell us their thoughts, we've considered everything we've heard and are
currently drafting our proposed strategy for the next ten years and a plan for
delivering it».

«Arts Council England’s (ACE) plans
to make culture more widely accessible have prompted alarm within the
organisation, with some expressing concern that its new strategy would
compromise artistic quality and tip the funder’s existing approach “entirely on
its head”.
The issue came to a head in
September last year when ACE’s London Area Council – which includes leaders of
arts organisations in the capital as well as local government representatives –
was asked to give feedback on proposed outcomes for the next ten-year strategy.

record that “there was concern that the proposals did not reflect the complex
ways in which, and reasons why, people make/deliver art and culture – we should
not be seeking to spread the most work to the largest number of people at the
expense of quality or meaningful engagement”. Leia

A nosso ver nada tem de novo, nasceu VELHO. Porventura ainda nos lembraremos, cada um ao seu modo, do que foi dito e escrito - que contrariava o que o Ministério da Cultura via DGARTES ouviu e continua a ouvir. Inspirados pelas práticas de outros como é o caso de Inglaterra (acima) voltemos a insistir: SISTEMATIZE-SE O QUE FOI DITO NO ESPAÇO PÚBLICO. Este Capital não pode ser desperdiçado. Nele estará pensamento dos nossos melhores. E esse conheceimento e sabedoria tem de estar presente no FUTURO que queremos nas ARTES enquanto SERVIÇO PÚBLICO mas também no mundo dos negócios. Naturalmente, isso devia ser trabalho regular dos serviços que sabemos não existir. Pois bem, Senhor Primeiro Ministro aqui está um PROBLEMA que justificaria uma genuina estrutura de PROJETO - com principio, meio e fim precisos. Em paralelo: não esquecer, DGARTES ser REFUNDADA.
